IDENTIFIED: Man killed after crash on Fresno County’s Clovis Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The man who was killed in a crash on a Fresno County stretch of Clovis Avenue two weeks ago was named by the Fresno County Coroner's Office on Tuesday. According to the coroner's office, 23-year-old Michael Molano was the person who was killed after the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a big rig. The crash on Jan. 18 took place around 7:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Clovis Avenue, near Highway 99. The CHP says the driver of the commercial vehicle was attempting to either make a left turn or a U-turn on Golden State Boulevard when the Chevrolet collided with it and became lodged underneath the trailer. Officers say the big rig continued to drive with the pickup underneath its trailer until it could pull over. Molano was pronounced dead at the scene. Fog was considered a contributing factor to the crash.
