Identification of victims in fatal I-26 crash in Charleston
The Charleston County Coroner has identified the two individuals who lost their lives in a tragic crash on I-26 early Monday morning. Tiheshace Greene, 44, of Ladson, and Nicholas Smith, 26, of Charleston, were the passengers in separate vehicles involved in the collision near exit 217. Greene succumbed to blunt force injuries at the scene of the accident, while Smith tragically passed away at MUSC later that morning from his injuries. The crash occurred when a 2019 Volkswagen traveling west in the eastbound lanes collided with a 2008 Chevrolet SUV. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
