Identification of man previously charged in deadly Arrowhead Stadium hit-and-run now fleeing at 115 mph

A man from Kansas City previously convicted in a deadly accident near Arrowhead Stadium is now facing new accusations of leading officers on a high-speed chase during which shots were fired at a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer. Thomas J. Weyer, 23, has been charged with multiple felonies related to the incident, including first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and aggravated fleeing that occurred on Interstate 35 on Nov. 16. During the pursuit where speeds reached up to 115 miles per hour, occupants of the car allegedly shot at the trooper with firearms equipped with laser sights. The chase concluded in Kansas City, with four individuals fleeing the vehicle. Weyer was eventually discovered hiding in a storm drain and was identified as the driver. Law enforcement found three Glock pistols, ammunition, spent casings, nitrous oxide containers, and an extended magazine in the car. Weyer had a previous case related to a fatal crash in 2021, in which he pleaded guilty to leaving the scene, resulting in a suspended four-year sentence, 30 days of shock time, and five years of probation. He is currently in custody on the latest charges.
