I-90 west closed due to multiple vehicle accident
The New York State Thruway Authority reported on Thursday afternoon that there was a multi-vehicle accident blocking all lanes on I-90 west at Exit 57A (Eden/Angola). New York State police stated that troopers were attending to multiple incidents near exit 57A just before 4:30 p.m. including accidents involving tractor-trailers, passenger vehicles, and injuries. Traffic diversions were in place at exit 57 (Hamburg) until further notice due to dangerous weather conditions in Western New York. The Thruway Authority urged drivers to reduce speed and reconsider travel plans. The Town of Evans Police Department issued a travel advisory advising only essential travel due to snowy conditions.
