I-77 on-ramp closure due to highway sign damage

A collision on January 26 in Akron, Ohio led to the closure of the southbound on-ramp to Interstate 77 South due to a highway sign falling on the road. Ohio Department of Transportation cameras captured emergency vehicles at the scene, with the signage knocked down after a vehicle hit its pole near the state Route 21 intersection. ODOT indicated that the road closure's duration was uncertain, but one lane on I-77 North was open to enable traffic flow. Copley Township police were present, and authorities anticipated clearing the area would require several hours.
