I-76 westbound shut down near I-70 after accident
Westbound lanes of Interstate 76 in Wheat Ridge, near the I-70 junction, are currently closed due to a crash, as confirmed by the Colorado Department of Transportation. The closure extends from Sheridan Boulevard to the I-70 junction near Wadsworth Boulevard, with the closure later stretching to Federal Boulevard. A jackknifed semitrailer is visible on the roadway according to SkyFOX footage. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported that the accident involves a semitrailer and two other vehicles with minor injuries, and crews are addressing a diesel fuel spill. Expect delays in the area, as congestion and emergency vehicles are present, as per CDOT.
