An estimated 75 vehicles were involved in a crash that closed Interstate 70 near Loveland Pass and Eisenhower Tunnel on Tuesday afternoon, the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office said around 3 p.m.No fatalities have been reported at this time, and 19 people are being taken to the hospital with "varying injuries," according to Colorado State Patrol around 5 p.m. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the tunnel around 2:50 p.m., per CSP. CSP estimated the eastbound lanes would be closed for four to six hours. The right westbound lane was open and "moving slowly," while the left westbound lane was closed for medial staging, CSP officials said a little before 5 p.m., after officials said around 3:30 p.m. it would be closed in both directions for an investigation.
