I-5 traffic stalled after toy hauler crashes onto side near East Fork Bridge
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Interstate 5 near the East Fork Bridge is fully blocked Tuesday morning after a semi-truck crashed onto its side, blocking all northbound lanes. The collision at Milepost 18 first stalled northbound traffic near the ilani Casino at 7:39 a.m. and is expected to continue “until further notice,” according to Washington State Department of Transportation. Trooper Dakota Russell posted the following information on social media: “Driver lost control while traveling northbound. Roadway is fully blocked while we wait for the tow to arrive. No injuries and no other vehicles involved.” It is not clear how long the area will be blocked. Officials urge drivers to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
