I-45 in Leon County closed for hours following deadly accident
Interstate 45 in Leon County was closed down for several hours after a collision involving three vehicles. The incident, which took place just south of Buffalo, occurred when a Lincoln Town Car stalled in the outside lane, leading to a chain reaction crash involving a Peterbilt tractor trailer and a Ford Escape. The Ford Escape was pushed through the median and into the northbound lanes. Both sides of the interstate were blocked, but the road was reopened at 4:45 a.m. the following day. Tragically, the driver of the Lincoln, identified as Dontavis Hood, 33, from Missouri City, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene.
