Highway Patrol: Multiple deadly crashes across Missouri leave at least 5 dead over weekend

Several crashes across Missouri's highways over the weekend left at least five people dead.The first happened Friday afternoon in Newton County, where a 31-year-old Neosho man died after his SUV ran off Highway 86, overturned and struck a utility pole.Early Saturday, a 51-year-old Mountain Grove man was killed in Webster County when his SUV ran off U.S. 60 near Seymour, hit a sign and overturned, ejecting him.Minutes later in Phelps County, a 23-year-old Rolla woman died after her SUV ran off County Road 1000 near St. James, struck a culvert and overturned, ejecting her.Later Saturday morning in Bollinger County, a 71-year-old Millersville woman was killed in a head-on crash after crossing the center line on Highway B near Scopus. Two others were treated for minor injuries.Saturday evening, another deadly crash in Webster County involved a pedestrian. Troopers say a 17-year-old driver struck and killed a 26-year-old man on Evergreen Road near Strafford.
