Highway 78 closed in both directions after deadly head-on crash
JULIAN, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A collision involving two vehicles on Saturday afternoon near Highway 78 has left two people dead, while two others are being transported to a hospital via helicopter, according to CalFire. *The Nexstar Media Wire video above explains what to do if you witness a crash. CalFire received the call at around 2:52 p.m. of a reported head-on collision involving two cars near Mastros Trailer Park Road in Julian. When crews arrived on scene, two people needed to be extricated from the vehicles, according to CalFire. At around 4:20 p.m., CalFire confirmed that two of the victims succumbed to their injuries, and the other two are being airlifted via helicopter to the hospital.
