Head-on crash with injuries shuts down part of Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh, police say
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Police are investigating a head-on collision Saturday morning in north Raleigh. According to a spokesperson for the Raleigh Police Department, officers responded to the crash around 10 a.m. on Atlantic Avenue near Otters Run Court. The spokesperson said a car crossed the center lane and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on. Two people were injured in the crash, according to the spokesperson, one of which was taken to the emergency room for serious injuries. The spokesperson said the other person's injuries were minor. Officers will be at the scene for the next couple of hours, according to the spokesperson, to investigate further into the crash.
