Head-on crash forces closure of both directions of US-6 in Utah County
A head-on crash blocked both north and southbound traffic on US-6 in a remote area of Utah County. Officials with the Utah Highway Patrol said there was a head-on collision Friday morning on US-6 near milepost 203. The crash closed both directions of the highway near Sheep Creek, bringing traffic to a full stop. UHP officials said there were injuries, and at least one person was airlifted. Details are still limited at this time. It is unknown when the highway will reopen. Officials with the Utah Department of Transportation recommended taking I-15 and I-70 as alternative routes. ___
