Glenville woman faces additional charge after fatal DWI crash

MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Glenville woman previously charged in connection to a death outside of a Malta restaurant is facing a new charge. According to the Saratoga County District Attorney's Office, Morgan Lange is accused of lying to state employees. Prosecutors said Lange allegedly lied to the Department of Motor Vehicles, claiming that she was still employed at Bentley's Tavern to obtain a conditional license to drive to work, despite her suspension. Officials said she has not worked at Bentley's since September 2025. She was charged with felony offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree. Lange was originally arrested in September 2025 after she allegedly hit a coworker, Joshua Soden, with her car while driving under the influence. Soden was reportedly pinned under her car and was later declared dead after suffering from a traumatic brain injury. Lange was found to reportedly have a blood alcohol content of 0.12% at the time of the crash. In March, she was indicted for vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault, driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance amongst other charges. Officials said Lange's trial is expected to start in August.
