Friday afternoon collision in Lexington involving motorcycle leaves 2 with life-threatening injuries
A Friday afternoon collision at the intersection of Athens Boonesboro and Jacobson Park has left two people with life-threatening injuries,.According to Lexington Police, officers responded to the area just before 5 p.m. for reports of a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle. LPD reports that both drivers suffered life-threatening injuries, and three other people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. According to Lexington Fire, the driver of an SUV involved in the collision was extricated using jaws. Inbound Athens Boonesboro is expected to remain closed in Friday evening as crews continue to investigate the collision.
