
Fresh information revealed in fatal Peoria car accident
The Peoria Police Department provided additional information regarding an incident on April 7th that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others. This multi-vehicle collision occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of 107th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane in Peoria, involving a white Hyundai Elantra, a silver INFINITI I35, and a blue BMW X3. According to initial reports, the Hyundai driver failed to yield from a stop sign while traveling westbound on Rose Garden Lane, leading to a collision with the northbound BMW X3. The BMW then struck the southbound INFINITI I35. The driver of the Hyundai sustained minor injuries, while the BMW driver, identified as Thomas Savovich of Surprise, Arizona, tragically passed away at the scene. A juvenile passenger from the BMW and the INFINITI driver were hospitalized with serious injuries. The Peoria Police Department's Traffic Services Unit is conducting an investigation into the matter, with impairment being ruled out as a factor.
