Four young adults killed in single-vehicle crash
TIFFIN, Ohio (WJW) - Four young adults were killed after the pick-up truck they were traveling in went off the roadway, struck a tree and then became partially submerged in a pond, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The single-vehicle crash happened at about 10:40 p.m. on state Route 18 near County Road 48, just west of Tiffin in Seneca County. According to troopers, Hermoiney Greenler, 19, Bucyrus, was eastbound on state Route 18, where she failed to maintain control of her vehicle. Greenler and her passengers, Madison Yates, 21, and Jonathan Bowling, 22, both of Tiffin, succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene as a result of the crash, said troopers. A fourth passenger, Alexzandria Hickle, 22, also of Tiffin, was transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital where she also succumbed to her injuries, said officials. Hickle was the only one wearing a seatbelt, according to troopers. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
