Florida amusement park faces $300,000 settlement after 6-year-old's fatal go-kart crash

The Florida Department of Agriculture has proposed a $300,000 settlement for Urban Air Adventure Park in Port St. Lucie after a 6-year-old girl died in a go-kart crash last December. Documents show state inspectors found several operator violations during the investigation into the death of Emma Riddle. The report shows the 6-year-old was driving the go-kart with her mother in the passenger's seat at the time of the crash, despite rules requiring drivers to be at least 18 years old. She was also not wearing a seatbelt. WPBF 25 News has reached out to Urban Air Adventure Park for a comment on this settlement. We are still waiting to hear back.
