Fleeing driver dies in crash after encounter with Titusville police - FHP
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking into a fatal crash that occurred in Titusville on Friday evening following a police chase. The crash took place around 8 p.m. when a Chevrolet Malibu veered off the road on Barna Avenue, hitting a palm tree, a fence, and then a sign. Vincent Side, a witness, mentioned noticing law enforcement at the scene after the crash. The Chevy was reportedly trying to evade Titusville Police Department officers and had stop-sticks deployed against it before the accident. Emergency responders attempted CPR on the driver, who unfortunately passed away later at the hospital. The incident caused major damage and the involvement of Titusville police has not been disclosed.
