Fire crews rescue trapped driver after Southampton crash
SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Two people were sent to the hospital after a head-on collision on College Highway in Southampton on Thursday. The Southampton Fire Department states that at 5:40 p.m., fire crews were sent to a two-car, head-on motor vehicle accident around College Highway and Fomer Road. When crews arrived, they found two cars involved with one person trapped in their vehicle. The jaws of life were used to help remove the person, which took some time due to the damage to the vehicle. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the person who was trapped was taken for serious injuries.
