Fatality in Michigan's Upper Peninsula snowmobile accident
A 22-year-old man from Garrettsville, Ohio tragically passed away following a snowmobile accident in Michigan's Upper Peninsula this weekend, as reported by Michigan State Police. The incident occurred on Trail 8 near H-58 in Shingleton Township, Alger County, around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. The snowmobiler was reportedly traveling at a high speed and lost control on a corner, colliding with a tree. Despite the efforts of first responders to provide medical assistance, the individual succumbed to their injuries. The victim's identity has not been disclosed at this time. MSP Lt. Ben Eckola expressed condolences to the affected family and friends, while Alger County EMS and Alger County Rescue 21 supported the troopers at the scene.
