A tragic incident occurred on Monday evening in Boca Raton, where a pickup truck collided with a Brightline train resulting in the driver's fatality, as per the authorities. The Boca Raton Police Department is currently looking into the collision that happened around 5:37 p.m. at 1 SW 18th Street, where the driver was the only person in the vehicle. Due to the crash, all lanes on Southwest 18th Street, both eastbound and westbound, are shut down at the railroad tracks just prior to Dixie Highway. Additionally, the southbound lanes on Dixie Highway are closed at SE 14th Street. Motorists are urged to find alternative routes as emergency responders manage the situation. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
