Fatalities confirmed in plane crash owned by NASCAR's Greg Biffle
Authorities in North Carolina have confirmed that there were fatalities following a tragic incident where a business jet owned by former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle crashed at Statesville Regional Airport. The Cessna C550 crashed while attempting to land on the tarmac around 10:20am ET. The aircraft belonged to Biffle's family, and there are multiple casualties although it's uncertain if Biffle was on board. Investigations are being led by the National Transportation Safety Board, and the airport is currently closed for debris removal. Rep. Pat Harrigan expressed sympathy for those affected by the crash and assured that local authorities are actively involved. NewsNation will provide coverage of the NTSB's media briefing scheduled for tomorrow.
