Fatal two-vehicle crash leaves one dead in Fairfield County

A 29-year-old Circleville man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster on Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 188 and Royalton Road in Fairfield County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The preliminary investigation found that a 2019 Ford Ranger driven by Stephanie Biggum, 40, was traveling southwest on State Route 188 while a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by Jacob Bush, 29, was traveling southeast on Royalton Road. According to the release, the Mitsubishi failed to yield the right-of-way while attempting to turn left onto State Route 188 and was hit by the Ford. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to travel off the roadway. Bush died at the scene from his injuries. Biggum was taken to Mount Carmel East with minor injuries. The front-seat passenger in the car with Bush, 26-year-old Christopher Jordan, was also transported to Mount Carmel East with minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lancaster Post.
