Fatal two-vehicle crash in Pittsylvania County claims two lives
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- The Virginia State Police (VSP) is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Pittsylvania County that claimed the lives of two people. It happened at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27 at the intersection of Java Road and Halifax Road (Route 57). According to VSP, the driver of a 2006 Honda Accord was turning onto Halifax Road when the vehicle was struck by a 2021 Ford F-150. The driver of the Honda, identified as Charline Gail Patterson, 46, of Java, and four-year-old passenger Ivyonna Patterson, died at the scene. VSP reported both occupants were using proper safety equipment. The crash remains under investigation.
