Fatal two-car collision on Chicago's South Side: police

A fatal crash occurred in Calumet Heights on Wednesday, resulting in the death of a 50-year-old man and injuries to another man, as reported by the police. The incident took place when a black Cadillac collided with a blue Mini Cooper at the intersection of S. Stony Island Avenue and E. 92nd Street around 10:40 a.m. The impact caused the Mini Cooper to strike a nearby business establishment. The driver of the Mini Cooper, aged 50, was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead. The 47-year-old driver of the Cadillac was also taken to the same hospital but was reported to be in good condition. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and authorities are currently investigating the crash.
