Fatal Thanksgiving car crash in Marion leaves woman dead
A tragic car accident occurred in Marion on Thanksgiving night, resulting in the death of a woman. The incident involved a 2012 Jaguar XJ colliding with a parked 2005 Honda Odyssey on West Columbia Street around 9:42 p.m. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, while the passenger, identified as Colleen Foster, 40, of Marion, was critically injured and later passed away at a local hospital. Authorities suspect impairment played a role in the crash, and noted that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt. Responding to the scene were the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Marion City Police Department, and Marion City Fire and EMS.
