Fatal solo crash in southeast Nebraska
A 74-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Johnson County early on Friday morning, according to authorities. Deputies were called to the crash site about a mile west of Sterling around 1:20 a.m. The driver, identified as James Young, was the only person in the 2005 Dodge Ram and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials reported that Young was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident. The circumstances involving alcohol or speeding are currently unknown.
