Fatal solo car crash in Sangamon County.
A 30-year-old man named Brandon Pond from New Berlin tragically passed away in a crash in Sangamon County due to blunt force injuries. He was the driver and only person in the vehicle when it left the road and crashed near the 17000 block of Lead Line Road early in the morning on January 1. The Sangamon County Coroner confirmed his death, and an autopsy revealed that Pond died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained during the accident.
