Fatal snowmobile crash claims life of Fort Edward resident
A 56-year-old man from Fort Edward was tragically killed on Saturday night in Lyon Falls, New York, when his snowmobile was hit by a truck. Joseph Harrington was reportedly riding his snowmobile around 6:30 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck on Marmon Road. The Lewis County Sheriff's Department reported that Harrington didn't stop at a stop sign before entering the road. The incident is currently under investigation. The sheriff's office received assistance from various emergency response teams, including Boonville Ambulance, Port Leyden Ambulance, Lewis County Search and Rescue, Port Leyden Fire Department, Lyons Falls Fire Department, and Unlimited Collision.
