Fatal single-car crash in Morgan County leaves 1 dead, 3 injured
One individual was fatally ejected from a vehicle that overturned on Friday evening in Morgan County, Illinois, resulting in three others sustaining injuries in the accident. The Morgan County Coroner's Office confirmed the single-car crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the intersection of Mt. Zion Road and Gravel Springs Road through a Facebook post published early Saturday. The vehicle, heading east, veered off the road and rolled over, leading to the tragic incident. The deceased, a passenger in the backseat, was declared dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is presently being withheld until their family is notified and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
