Fatal pedestrian crash investigation underway in San Jose
(KRON) -- The San Jose Police Department said officers are on the scene of a fatal pedestrian collision Wednesday night, in the area of Monterey and Ford roads. SJPD said the crash happened at 7:38 p.m., and the victim died from their injuries at the scene. The driver stayed at the location and was later taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the incident is not yet known. San Jose police said commuters can expect road closures to be in place for several hours on northbound Monterey Road to Ford Road as officers investigate.
