Fatal pedestrian crash in Ohio, victim identified
WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) - A man who was hit and killed at the intersection of Youngstown Road and Kenilworth Avenue SE Saturday night in Warren has been identified. Charles William Owens Jr, 72, of Warren, died in the incident, according to a crash report. The report said that Owens was crossing Youngstown Road about 10:51 p.m. when he was hit by a 49-year-old driver of a Buick sedan who was traveling west on Youngstown Road near Kenilworth Ave SE. The driver drove for a short time and then turned around. The report said that no citation was issued at this time. EMTs arrived on the scene and pronounced Owens Jr. deceased.
