Fatal pedestrian accident on West Mercury Blvd, Hampton
A pedestrian tragically lost their life after being hit by a vehicle in Hampton on Monday evening. Authorities were alerted around 7:50 p.m. about the incident on West Mercury Boulevard. Emergency responders found a man in the street who was sadly declared dead at the scene. Reports suggest the pedestrian was hit while trying to cross the road without a marked crosswalk. Police confirmed the driver stayed at the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation led by the Hampton Police Division's Reconstruction Team.
