Fatal multi-vehicle crash on I-95 in Brevard County on Christmas Day.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal collision that took place on Christmas Day afternoon on I-95 in Brevard County. The incident occurred in the southbound lanes near mile marker 188 in the Melbourne area. According to troopers, a Dodge Ram traveling south on I-95 north of Pineda Causeway veered off the road to the left, hitting a crash attenuator. The pickup truck became airborne, flipped over, and collided with an Audi RS7. Debris from the crash struck a Toyota RAV4. Unfortunately, the female driver of the Dodge Ram was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers involved were unharmed and remained at the location. As of 7:30 p.m., all southbound lanes of I-95 are still closed, with traffic being diverted to Pineda Causeway.
