Fatal multi-vehicle crash claims life of 5-year-old in Greeley
A tragic accident occurred on Monday afternoon in Greeley, resulting in the death of a young child. The incident involved multiple vehicles at the intersection of Highway 85 and 22nd St. A 24-year-old woman driving a Ford Focus attempted a left-hand turn onto 22nd St. when her vehicle was struck on the passenger side by a Tesla driven by a 51-year-old woman. Both cars then collided with a semitruck at the intersection. The child, a 5-year-old passenger in the Ford Focus, was critically injured and later died at Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver. The authorities are waiting to release the child's identity once the cause and manner of death are determined. The 24-year-old driver of the Ford Focus sustained minor injuries, while the drivers of the Tesla and semitruck were unharmed.
