Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Jefferson Davis Highway
WARRNVILLE, SC (WJBF) - On Sunday, April 5, 2026 at 10:51 am, the Coroner’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash involving fatalities in the 2000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. The incident occurred when a 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling west on Jefferson Davis Highway colliding with a 2020 Subaru. The motorcycle operator and passenger were pronounced dead on scene at 11:00am, the driver of the Subaru was transported to the hospital for their injuries. Autopsies will be ordered for next week in Newberry. Due to thermal injuries,positive identification remains under investigation and notification of next-of-kin. The Coroner’s Office along with South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing withthe investigation
