Fatal motorcycle crash in West Virginia leaves 1 dead
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WTRF) — A motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon following a crash on Interstate 68 near Morgantown. According to authorities, the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on April 12 along the westbound lanes near the 13 mile marker. Corporal F. E. Little responded to the scene. Investigators said James Roy Smith III, 24, of Morgantown, was traveling west when he lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown from it. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said his next of kin has been notified. The investigation remains ongoing.
