Fatal motorcycle accident reported on Alligator Bridge
TYRRELL COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) -- A single motorcycle collision occurred on US 64 in Tyrrell County on Alligator Bridge, resulting in the death of the driver. According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, on May 3 at 4:21 p.m., the motorcycle was traveling east on US 64 when it crossed the centerline and struck the bridge rail on the westbound side, ejecting both the driver and passenger. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS, and the passenger was transported to Sentara Norfolk in Norfolk for her injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
