Fatal hit-and-run incident on Hermitage Avenue in Nashville.
Early Thursday morning, a tragic hit-and-run accident occurred just south of downtown Nashville, resulting in the death of a woman and critical injuries to a man. The incident took place on Hermitage Avenue near Pecker's Bar and Grill around 1:30 a.m. The victims, a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were struck by a speeding car as they were waiting for a rideshare. The woman passed away at the scene while the man sustained severe injuries. Authorities are currently trying to reach out to the woman's family. A surveillance image of the suspect's vehicle, described as a red/maroon car, likely a Ford Mustang, was released by Metro police.
