Fatal head-on collision in Harford County injures woman and child.
A man from Kingsville tragically passed away following a car accident on Sunday evening, which also resulted in a woman and a four-year-old boy being hospitalized. The incident occurred at around 5:15pm on Baldwin Mill Road in Forest Hill, close to Putnam Road. Charles Bender Jr., aged 79, was driving his Toyota Prius with a woman and child when they were hit head-on by a Chevy Silverado. The Chevy driver, a 66-year-old, veered over the center line, causing the crash. The reasons for this are currently being investigated by Maryland State Police. The passengers and the driver of the Chevy were taken to the hospital, however, unfortunately, Bender lost his life at the scene. The road had to be shut down for about three hours following the accident.
