Fatal head-on collision in Buda
The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that a fatal head-on collision occurred in Buda on Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of one individual. The incident involved a car crossing into oncoming traffic on FM 2001 and colliding with another vehicle. The driver of the second car thankfully did not sustain any injuries. The deceased driver's identity is being withheld pending notification of their next of kin. The crash prompted the closure of FM 2001 and Hillside Terrace, as reported by the Buda Fire Department, but the roadway has since been reopened by the Hays County Sheriff's Office.
