Fatal dirt bike crash in Ohio leaves 1 dead
A 37-year-old man died after a dirt bike crash late Thursday night in Ohio, according to the Wapakoneta Police Department. Officers responded around 11:49 p.m. to the 800 block of North Blackhoof Street for a report of a single-vehicle dirt bike crash. The preliminary investigation found the rider lost control of the dirt bike and was ejected from the vehicle. Police said the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The rider, a 37-year-old Wapakoneta man, was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police said the crash remains under investigation. No additional information is being released at this time while the investigation continues and family members are being notified. The Wapakoneta Police Department extended its condolences to the victim's family and friends.
