Fatal crash shuts down traffic on Highway 73 eastbound near Taylor Bayou Bridge
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is assisting the Texas Department of Public Safety at a crash along Highway 73 eastbound near Veolia, one mile west of the Taylor Bayou Bridge. DPS confirms there is one fatality. According to JCSO, the crash happened Tuesday morning around 4:45 a.m. and involves a vacuum truck and passenger vehicle. Eastbound traffic is being diverted to Labelle Road. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
