Fatal crash shuts down northbound I-15 in Clark County
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A fatal two-vehicle crash has shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 15 in northeastern Clark County Sunday evening, according to the Nevada State Police. The crash happened around 6:43 p.m. on Sunday on northbound I-15 near mile marker 94, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. Preliminary information indicates the crash involved a passenger sedan and a pickup truck. One adult man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said four other people were injured. Two were taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital, while two others were airlifted by medical helicopter for treatment. The cause of the crash has not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing. As crews continue to investigate, all northbound lanes of I-15 remain closed at mile marker 94. Traffic is being diverted off the interstate at Exit 93 (Logandale Exit), where vehicles are being turned around. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway reopens. Nevada State Police said additional information will be released as the preliminary investigation continues.
