Fatal crash on SR-125 in Lemon Grove area
In Lemon Grove, California, tragically, a driver lost their life in a collision on state Route 125 early Wednesday morning. The crash involved two vehicles, a 2015 Lexus IS 250 and a light-colored car, on the northbound lane near Troy Street at around 5:30 a.m. The California Highway Patrol explained that the Lexus driver changed lanes in an unsafe manner, leading to the collision. Unfortunately, the Lexus veered off the freeway, hit a tree, and the 21-year-old driver from Spring Valley was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness reported that the other car involved initially stopped but the driver, described as a Hispanic adult male, fled the scene driving northbound. The CHP is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and can be contacted at 619-219-6900.
