Fatal crash on Maine highway claims life of 19-year-old driver
A 19-year-old woman from Connecticut tragically lost her life in a car accident on the Falmouth Spur over the weekend. Maine State Police responded to the crash near the on-ramp to I-295 north in Falmouth and discovered Joamaliz Orozco trapped inside a 2013 Subaru Impreza. The vehicle had veered off the road into a guardrail. Orozco was taken to Maine Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. According to Maine State Police, the crash was likely caused by poor weather and road conditions. The investigation is ongoing, with assistance provided by Falmouth Fire and Rescue, Maine DOT, and Stewarts Towing.
