Fatal crash on Joseph Avenue claims two lives
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man and a woman have both died after they crashed into a light pole and rolled their vehicle on Joseph Avenue. The Rochester Police and Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident with people trapped on the 200 block of Joseph Avenue around 1:31 a.m. on Sunday. First responders found the heavily damaged vehicle rolled on its side with two people inside. An adult man and woman were extracted by the fire department and taken to the hospital for treatment. They were both pronounced dead a short time later, officials say. The vehicle was driving southbound on Joseph Avenue when it hit a light pole and rolled over, the investigation revealed. The identity of the victims has not been released yet. The investigation into the cause is ongoing, and anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact 911.
