Fatal crash on Iowa Park Road leads to traffic diversion.
One person has tragically passed away as a result of a morning vehicle incident on Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls. The local police department is currently investigating the incident that occurred just prior to 7 a.m. on Thursday, December 18th, near Sheppard Access Road. According to officials, a pedestrian was struck by an SUV traveling eastbound on the road. Authorities are rerouting traffic around the area, and it is anticipated that the detour will be in place for approximately the next hour. Drivers are advised to be cautious while navigating this location. The identity of the victim is being withheld until their family has been informed. Thankfully, alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the accident, and no charges are expected to be filed.
