Officials reported that a tragic incident occurred on Thursday morning on I-75 in Dalton, resulting in the loss of three lives. The accident was caused by a vehicle evading law enforcement and entering oncoming traffic. The collision involved a 2025 Hyundai Elantra, a GMC Canyon, and a JB Hunt tractor-trailer, leading to a fiery crash. The three occupants in the evading vehicle perished at the scene, while three other individuals were injured and transported to Hamilton Medical Center. In-depth investigations into the crash are now underway. Identifications of the deceased have not been released yet.
